This position will work with purchasing, accounting, and other functional areas to calculate product actual costs and complete customer pricing sheets based on projected profit margins.   Review pricing results with management.  Additionally, this position will communicate with customers regarding PO timing, capacity, and other related issues.

General Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing departments to identify cost drivers and develop external quotes for all products and services.
  • Identify bills of material from engineering drawings and input into Excel-based pricing sheet to calculate product costs, sales price, and projected profitability.
  • Work closely with customers and ensure all portals are maintained and properly updated.
  • Communicate directly with external customers and vendors on quoting activities.
  • Work with functional areas to prepare budgets based on quote data.
  • Maintain tracking on incoming and outgoing quote requests and provide feedback to the sales team.
  • Complete and review ad hoc analyses as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration (or equivalent) – preferred but not required.
     
  • Prior manufacturing-related management or analysis experience – preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, self-motivated, and strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
  • Able to execute responsibilities with minimal supervision, proactively identify and react to potential problems, and effectively communicate with all levels of management.
  • Excellent analytical and presentation skills, with ability to identify financial drivers and perform high level/detailed assessments and analyses.
