Overview: As a Supply Chain Consultant, you will work with organizations to enhance their supply chain operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. You will analyze supply chain processes, develop strategic solutions, and support the implementation of best practices to optimize the flow of goods and services from suppliers to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess existing supply chain processes and systems to identify inefficiencies, risks, and areas for improvement through data analysis, process mapping, and stakeholder interviews.
  • Develop and recommend supply chain strategies and solutions to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Design and implement improvements to supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions, such as supply chain management software and automation tools, to enhance process efficiency and data visibility.
  • Assist in evaluating and selecting suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships to ensure supply chain effectiveness and compliance.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor supply chain performance and measure the impact of improvements.
  • Support clients in managing organizational changes related to supply chain improvements, including communication strategies, training, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity and resilience in operations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to provide clients with innovative and effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP) preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in supply chain consulting, logistics, operations management, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including procurement, inventory control, logistics, and technology integration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance measurement, with the ability to leverage metrics to drive supply chain improvements.
  • Proven ability to manage supply chain projects, including coordinating cross-functional teams and delivering results within established timelines.
  • Detail-oriented, strategic thinker, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
