Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Technician with a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. As an apprentice, you will assist in performing a variety of tasks related to the repair, replacement, and alteration of commercial truck bodies and components. This is a hands-on role where you will gain valuable experience working alongside skilled technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the repair, replacement, and modification of truck bodies and components.
- Weld components to existing truck chassis and fabricate or attach new bodies.
- Prep, sand, and refinish truck bodies and components.
- Remove and replace damaged parts, or fabricate parts using power and hand tools.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials.
- Follow instructions from higher-skilled technicians to ensure high-quality work.

Qualifications:

- Good mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn.
- Basic hand tools recommended, but not required.
- Prior vocational school or body shop experience preferred, but not needed.
- Willingness to take direction and work collaboratively with experienced technicians.
- Ability to comply with safety regulations and shop procedures.
