Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance procedures on machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues promptly.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, welders, and logic controllers.
- Perform facilities maintenance tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Effectively support the preventive maintenance program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on productions machinery and facility support equipment.
- Complete all assigned assigned work orders within the time allotted.
- Maintain complete record of work performed using software, word orders and detailed logs and have good communication skills across all groups / departments.
- Electrical repairs such as outlets, switches, plugs, disconnects.
- Run conduit and pull circuit wiring.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, install single and 3 phase motors and associated mechanical transmission equipment.
- PLC experience preferred.
- Small motor and pump repairs.
- Maintain, troubleshoot fire tube boilers and associated HVAC equipment.
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements (both planned and unplanned) on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems (to provide a continuous supply of heat, steam, cooling, electrical, power, gas, or air required for operations).
- Basic knowledge of welding.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in food manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years maintenance in related fields.
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures ( cold and hot ).
- Experience with CMMS software preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using hand tools and working on processing equipment.
Schedules: Monday - Friday 2PM - 11PM (Will stay past 12 midnight if needed and work rotating Saturday's).
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
