POSITION DESCRIPTION  

The Grounds Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for maintaining grounds cleanliness and basic building upkeep. 

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES  

  • Perform weed eating and weed pulling to maintain landscaped areas. 
  • Clean up trash and debris from grounds and common areas. 
  • Assist with painting and touch-up work as needed. 
  • Operate pressure washers to clean sidewalks, buildings, and outdoor surfaces. 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS  

  • Ability to sit, stand and/or walk on uneven ground   
  • The employee may be required to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, and squat   
  • The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus  
  • Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers  
  • Must be able to use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation  
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
