The Manager of Health Information will assume responsibility and authority for the following services: Centralized faxing which incorporates all incoming and outgoing health information including but not limited to Specialist Notes, Hospital Discharge Notes, Emergency Room and Urgent/Convenient Care notes, request for records or other health information, incoming health records or other health information, outgoing referrals, incoming requests for referral information, preauthorization for specialists services as well as procedures or diagnostic imaging. The Manager will provide guidance for all document management which may include insurance verification. At times, the Manager may visit specialists or facilities to engage in conversation to develop better communication to and from these entities to maintain a positive collaborative relationship. The Manager will ensure organizational metrics around financial performance, patient outcomes, and service excellence are met by instituting a culture that fosters collaboration, effective communication, and excellent customer service.
The Manager will answer directly with the Chief Medical Officer
