Logistics Specialist

Metro Aviation, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Specialist in Show Low, Arizona for the Guardian Air Transport program.

Job Objective

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting the maintenance team by managing the inventory of aircraft component parts and tools.

Essential Functions

1. Maintain inventory levels of aircraft parts, tooling, and consumables
2. Maintain accurate inventory control
3. Maintain required FAA documentation of aircraft parts
4. Perform monthly/quarterly shelf-life inspections of aircraft parts
5. Requisition of parts, tooling, consumables, and supplies for scheduled/unscheduled aircraft inspections and stock
6. Ensure compliance with tooling calibration and certifications
7. Shipping and receiving aircraft component parts

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Parts management experience preferred

Physical Demands

• Prolonged periods of walking, pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, sitting, and standing
• Climbing on various heights
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Work Environment

• Dependent upon location - indoor/outdoor aircraft hangar or shop with potentially extreme cold and hot temperatures
• Potential for exposure to hazardous chemicals

Work Status, Schedule, & Travel

• Full-time
• Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
• On-call after hours and weekends when necessary
• Travel in the local area and to various bases – 25%
