We are looking for an experienced CAD Lead to join our Granite Division. The CAD Lead will oversee and manage all aspects of CAD drafting and design for granite projects. This role requires a deep understanding of CAD software and processes and significant experience in the granite or stone industry. The CAD Lead will collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient execution of design plans.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. CAD Drafting and Design:
    • Develop detailed CAD drawings and plans for granite projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
    • Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) proficiently to create and modify drawings as required.
  2. Project Coordination:
    • Collaborate with project managers and designers to interpret client requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
    • Coordinate with production teams to ensure drawings align with manufacturing capabilities and project timelines.
  3. Quality Assurance:
    • Conduct thorough quality checks on CAD drawings to verify compliance with company standards and client expectations.
    • Address any design discrepancies or technical issues promptly and effectively.
  4. Team Leadership:
    • Lead the CAD drafting team, providing mentorship, training, and guidance to junior CAD drafters.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of CAD drawings, revisions, and project communications.
    • Prepare regular reports on project status, CAD workflow efficiency, and resource utilization.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD drafting and design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role within the granite or stone industry.
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
    • In-depth knowledge of construction and manufacturing processes related to granite or stone materials.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of CAD professionals.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to occasionally visit project sites and interact with production teams.
Work Environment:


  • Fast-paced and collaborative office environment with occasional onsite visits.
