Job Title: Snowflake Developer

Location: Chicago, IL (Local Candidates Only Must be within 1-hour driving distance)

Job Overview:
As a Snowflake Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data solutions using the Snowflake cloud data platform. You will work closely with data architects, data analysts, and other stakeholders to build scalable and efficient data pipelines and ensure data integrity. This role requires strong technical expertise in Snowflake, SQL, and data warehousing concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake.
  • Implement and maintain Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, and views to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with data architects and data engineers to build and maintain scalable data solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing best practices in data governance.
  • Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, and other database objects within Snowflake.
  • Optimize Snowflake queries for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, data quality, and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest features and capabilities of the Snowflake platform and other related technologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Snowflake Developer.
  • Strong proficiency in Snowflake and its features, including SnowSQL, SnowPipe, and Task Services.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts, including ETL, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud, and their integration with Snowflake.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Chicago, IL, and reside within an hour's driving distance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master s degree in a related field.
  • Experience with other data platforms and tools such as Hadoop, Spark, or Talend.
  • Knowledge of Python or other programming languages for data processing.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in a data environment.
