Location: Richfield, WI (30 minutes from Milwaukee and Waukesha)
We're Looking For A: QA Regulatory Specialist
Location: Richfield, WI
What You'll Be Doing:
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) understanding of global regulations and standards pertaining to our pet food products
- Responsible for conducting research, interpreting/implementing regulatory guidelines or prerequisite programs, and ensuring compliance with any labeling requirements for current or new products, ingredients, and/or brands
- SOP development as needed related to regulatory compliance
- Maintains current and new registration of products with all applicable exporting countries
- Coordinates the scheduling of all onsite regulatory audits with effective communication to the leadership team
- Supports Quality Management in Supplier Approval Program to ensure ingredients comply with exporting country requirements
- Supports the corporate Quality, Sales, Product Development and Retail teams regarding securing export registrations and certifications
- Acts as the technical representative in front of all regulatory entities
- Provides regulatory counsel for Product Development and Supply Chain teams
- Monitors regulatory environment for changes to regulations
- Educates business and regulation requirements
Preferred Qualifications (Note: These are preferred and not required. We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don't tick ALL of these boxes.):
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or related field
- 3+ years in the field of compliance/regulatory within a human food or pet food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety, AAFCO, food manufacturing regulations (USDA, FDA) and GMPs
- Regulatory experience in the pet food space with export knowledge to CFIA, EU and China
- Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
