Paving Roller Operator

Responsibilities:
- Operate paving rollers to compact asphalt or concrete surfaces to specified densities.
- Work closely with paving crew to ensure proper compaction and smoothness of finished surfaces.
- Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on paving rollers and other equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
- Assist with other paving and construction tasks as needed.
- Previous experience as a paving roller operator or similar role.
- Proficiency in operating paving equipment, including rollers and compactors.
- Knowledge of paving techniques, materials, and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
This position is based in Williston, VT. Expect some out-of-town projects requiring overnight stays (lodging, per diem and shift differential provided).
Location: Williston, VT with possible travel throughout Northern New England.
Rate of Pay: $26-$30 per hour.
Working Hours: 50-60 hours per week. Overtime paid after 8 hours each day.
Benefits: Health & Dental Insurance available, 401k, Profit Sharing, Vacation.
