We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at JMAC Resources. As a Motor Grader Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to complete construction projects as designed, adhering to safety best methods and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various types of heavy equipment, including motor graders, rollers, water trucks, skid steers, and dozers, to complete construction projects.
  • Perform daily maintenance requirements on equipment and promptly report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Work together as a team to complete tasks and projects, communicating job progress and questions/issues to the supervisor and co-workers in a timely manner.
  • Interact with customers, landowners, the general public, and co-workers in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Utilize safety restraints and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in operating heavy equipment, with significant experience with finish motor grader operation.
  • Possess working knowledge and skill regarding the operation of various pieces of earthmoving equipment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of safety and operating best methods for construction heavy equipment and civil construction projects.
  • Basic understanding of grade information from plans or grade stakes.
  • Basic understanding of soils as needed to complete tasks safely and effectively.
  • Ability to successfully pass CAT Heavy Equipment Operator training via computer-based training method.
  • Previous experience in oil and gas construction service work is desired but not required.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and to access and operate heavy equipment safely.
