Responsibilities

 

  • Monitors inspection loads and estimates inspection hour requirements for completion of jobs.
  • Drives continuous improvement efforts in gaging applications and measurement of close tolerance products.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Drives Gage R&R on equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and repeatability.
  • Drives standardization of inspection methods within the department and across the plant.
  • Ensures on time completion of gage calibration.
  • Leads the supplier delegation program.
  • Participates in internal and external audits.
  • Interprets company policies to Quality Assurance hourly workers and enforces work rules and safety regulations. 
Qualifications

Requirements

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree; Engineering or Technical is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality related experience
  • Leadership and/or Management skills along with the desire to lead and mentor teams (10-15 inspectors / technicians).
  • Must come from a plant manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to resolve complex quality issues and implement systemic process improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple quality initiatives at once.
