Pilot Car Driver

The Pilot Car Driver will guide semi-trucks as they transport heavy and/or oversized loads.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Leads oversized semi-truck on route in the pilot car.
Acts as escort, ensuring that semi avoids obstacles and dangerous situations.
Follows routes as instructed by dispatcher.
Communicates ETAs and any issues on route.
Adheres to all safety procedures and protocols.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with transportation and logistics industries preferred.
Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
Education and Experience:
Must have valid Driver's License.
Must have clean MVR.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Must have pilot certification or take the certification/training course online and get certified.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting in a vehicle.
Must be able to travel.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
