Summary

Winfree Memorial Preschool is currently hiring for a full time Assistant Preschool Center Director. This position would assist the Preschool Center Director with various duties, reporting to the Preschool Center Director
The hours would be 7:15-3:00 Monday-Friday/salaried position, starting right away.
The position is available as soon as possible. With training to occur right away.
Full benefits are available to include paid Professional Development and discounted childcare tuition.

Duties

1.Supervise the center in the Preschool Director's absence
2.Assist the Preschool Director with national accreditation maintenance
3.Assist the Preschool Director with the Virginia Department of Education's regulations
4.Maintain compliance with the Chesterfield Department of Health and Chesterfield County Fire
5.Review and update school curriculum as needed
6.Responsible for reporting to the Preschool Center Director any equipment repairs or replacement needed, maintenance needed in the building or on the playground, and supplies that need to be reordered.
7.Maintain supplies of the Preschool and order material as needed
8.Conduct regular safety checks of the playground and Preschool building
9.Assist the Preschool Center Director in explaining and showing the program to visitors.
10. Generally promoting good rapport among staff members.
11. Attend staff meetings and programs sponsored by the center
12. Represent the teaching team at Winfree Preschool Committee meetings.
13. Actively seek to continuously update skills by attending outside workshops and conferences whenever possible, by becoming a member and actively participating in professional organizations, and by constantly seeking new ideas and materials for use in classrooms with children or to share with staff members. NAC requirements for professional development for management are a minimum of 30 hours annually.
14. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding children and their families.
15. Maintain professional conduct and attitudes in working with parents and staff as well as visitors and the general public.
16. Maintain and keep accurate children's files
17. Maintain NAC and DSS standards throughout the school
18. Actively train entire team on developing NAC standards and assist the Preschool Center Director in classroom observations
19. Conduct classroom observations when needed.
20. Work with teaching team to understand and implement curriculum

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to introduce children to Him.
Bachelor's degree in related field or helpful field
At least 3 years of experience in early childhood education or teaching in some capacity.
Working knowledge of NAC guidelines
Strong customer orientation
Solid communications skills - oral and written.
Computer skills - must be computer literate at a general business level (Word Processing
Maintain continuing education requirements.
Other duties may be required and assigned.
Must show good leadership skills and ability to relate well to children and adults, including parents, staff members and visitors.Must be able to accept differences in style and personality among teachers and children.
