Medical Program Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced program manager to organize and coordinate long term strategic programs within the company. The program manager will provide strategic guidance to teams and project managers to promote the health of these programs. Work includes multi-site coordination and inter-department oversight. They support larger company initiatives and are responsible for the profitability of their programs.

In this role you will be responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of program and projects related activities and resources. You must be an excellent leader and possess experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. You must be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics to manage projects and handle client requests.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Manage one or several concurrent contracts and budgets with annual revenue up to $10M.
  • Execute contracts for compliance and client satisfaction.
  • Comprehend project’s critical functions, technical specifications, and issues of each project and deliver concise information to clients.
  • Understand client preferences and program deliverables.
  • Drive, manage, monitor, and report the timely delivery of program results.
  • Ensure and facilitate the highest standard of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Oversee project managers at different locations to ensure completeness of that program.
  • Provide project management efforts to fill in gaps in staff.
  • Create development contracts and negotiate with customers.
  • Create and maintain schedules for projects.
  • Develop program processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform technical and project document review (Project Scope, Manual and Associated Documents).
  • Assemble data for invoicing and project reporting activities.
  • Identify and escalate program issues in a timely manner to the appropriate level of management.
  • Work with other departments to develop budgets and plans for the program quotes.
  • Evaluate and manage the programs metrics.
  • Monitor projects and oversee project managers (potentially at multiple sites) to ensure goals are met.
  • Meet with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals.

Job Requirements:

  • Engineering Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience with instrumentation development required.
  • 6+ years of experience in Project Management in the field of healthcare/life sciences, biotech is a must
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Must have FDA 13485 experience
  • Strong customer service experience and focus
  • Excellent problem solving ability and conflict management
  • Thorough understanding of program/project management techniques and methods
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • PMP strongly preferred. Candidates with a PMP certification will be given priority.
