We share a vision for the future and encourage innovative and creative people who want to share in this commitment.  We are seeking a high energy, self-motivated individual to join our team as an Investment Accountant. The position will be a statutory accounting specialist and will require significant training due to the unique aspects of accounting for insurance companies.

Key Qualifications/Requirements

  • Interest in accounting (accounting degree not mandatory as statutory accounting is completely different)
  • Accounting or finance degree useful, but not necessary
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Knowledge of - or interest in - investments and investment reporting (Finance degree not mandatory)
  • Strong background in insurance investing, financial statement understanding and NAIC statutory accounting regulations. 
  • Strong work ethic and great communication skills for client interaction

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Statutory investment accounting for insurance companies
  • Working with insurance companies on their investment accounting/reporting

      comprehensive understanding of accounting for Insurance investments
    • how investment decisions impact the financial statements of an insurance company.
