We are growing and are looking to hire HVAC Technicians to our team  


The HVAC Technician will identify problems related to forced air heating systems, boiler systems and cooling systems, will perform needed maintenance and provide necessary service and will be responsible for the installation of HVAC systems for residential and/or light commercial customers.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot/identify/resolve heating and cooling issues on all brands of commercial and residential HVAC equipment.
  • Perform basic HVAC repairs and installations.
  • Install HVAC systems and their components.
  • Maintain and drive service truck in a safe manner.
  • Communicate with supervisor throughout the job to ensure timely work and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare written materials to document activities and/or convey information.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Develop and follow work instructions.
  • Keep area clean and organized.
  • Promote safety, teamwork, and cooperation.
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, training and seminars, as assigned.
  • Respond to emergency situations during or after hours.
  • Occasionally travel out of town for work assignments.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of electricity, electrical troubleshooting and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to work on ladders and in high places.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Must provide own hand tools.


EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE

  • HVAC Technician or Applied Science Associates Degree with 1 year of relevant experience in heating and cooling or 3 years of equivalent experience.
  • Strong electrical background preferred.
  • Hold or able to obtain HVAC license or certification.
  • Knowledge of boiler control and operation.
