Job Purpose Statement

The role of this position is to manage all activities associated with the filling/packaging of products.

This role will also be responsible for the entire shift which may include other departments, such as manufacturing or warehouse personnel, as needed.

Main Accountabilities

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel in following policies and procedures
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in filling and packaging products
  • Plan and direct work flow to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Evaluate and improve work processes resolving problem areas
  • Understand the standard costs of Crown products and operate departments within budget
  • Ensure product quality through a commitment to SOP adherence and training of staff
  • Maintain a high level of visibility and hands on leadership on the production floor
  • Resolve day to day personnel issues and adhere to progressive discipline guidelines through accurate and consistent documentation
  • Staff the production areas and ensure employees demonstrate a commitment to maximizing efficiency and productivity
  • Work with Quality/Regulatory to ensure all filled products meet FDA standards and guidelines
  • Reviews batch record entries
  • Calculate yield for finished goods
  • Support ANDA projects
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement through implementing Lean and Six Sigma projects
  • Responsible for approving timecards and managing other payroll-related duties in a timely manner

Job Related Qualification/Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 5+ years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people from all backgrounds
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
