Job Description:
Our sleep care administrator works in an admin space calling patients to make sure they are treating their sleep disorders and coordinating care. Call expectations are around 50 calls per day. The role relies heavily on the skill of managing priorities. To be successful you should have strong customer service skills and enjoy working with people
Duties include:
- Verifying insurance online or over the phone
- Calling patients to make sure they are actively treating their sleep apnea
- Discussing sleep diagnosis and therapy process with patients
- Coordinating with physicians on patient care
- Coordinating with medical office team
- Calling patients to schedule sleep study pickups
- Referring patient out for therapy ordered by physician - sending documentation needed
- Coordinating care between physicians and medical supply companies
- Detail documentation in EMR systems
We know sleep is a specialized field and we are prepared to train the right individual
Our ideal experienced candidate will have experience with the following responsibilities but not limited to:
- Communicating with patients confidently and compassionately
- Working alongside other medical professionals such as MA’s, PA’s and MD’s.
- Medical documentation/EMR knowledge
- Insurance verification
- Knowledge of sleep disorders is a plus
- Patient care management
- Scheduling appointments
- Intermediate computer knowledge/fast typing speed
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time – 35 to 40 hours per week
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Location: South Austin – Admin Office Setting
Schedule: Monday thru Friday
