Accountant (On-Site)

Ethanol Refinery; southeast Nebraska

Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for assisting with the creation of accurate and timely financial records. Reporting to the CFO, this position assists the Senior Accountant with daily processes and payroll functions. The Accountant supports all policies, goals, and objectives of the company, and represents the company in a knowledgeable and professional manner.

Job Responsibilities

Accounting:

  • Assists with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting
  • Prepares and records journal
  • Reconciles various general ledger
  • Assists with the accounts payable function under the direction of the Senior
  • Scans and files invoices and mails out weekly payables
  • Assists with accounting for fixed assets, including asset acquisitions, dispositions, tracking of project costs, calculating depreciation, and preparation of the fixed asset roll-forward schedule.
  • Assists with accounts receivable functions as
  • Assists with the company’s various carbon-intensity accounting
  • Assists with payroll and benefits related accounting functions as

Investor transactions, recordkeeping, relations

  • Assists with investor unit transfer and unit redemption requests according to company
  • Helps to maintain investor database and
  • Assists with mailings to investors (distribution checks, newsletters, financials, ).
  • Responsible for activities related to annual shareholder meeting

Job Requirements

Information systems

  • Excellent computer skills including typing and data entry, necessary to perform the duties required for this
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially
  • Experience with payroll and accounting software packages is

People skills

  • Maintains a high level of customer service and a pleasant work
  • Excellent communication Ability to speak and write clearly.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
    • May consider additional work experience in lieu of educational requirement.
  • >2 years applicable work experience.
  • General knowledge of accounting principles required.
