Caregiver (CNA or HHA)

Brookside Senior Living is hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Caregivers (HHAs or CNAs) to join our team in our Memory Care and/or Assisted Living We will train for this position We are proud of our staff to patient ratio that allows us to provide that kind of quality of care for our residents. We are looking for Caregivers that can work long-term, not just for the Summer.

There are Full-Time and Part-Time, benefit eligible positions available working varied schedules including every other weekend and holiday. 
 
Caregiver Openings:

• Part-Time, Memory Care, 48 hours per 2 week pay period, AM Hours: 6:00am to 2:30pm, Week 1: Mon, Tues, Sat & Sun, Week 2: Thurs & Fri.
• Part-Time, Memory Care & Assisted Living, 23 hours per 2 week pay period, PM Shifts, Week 1: Wed 7-9pm, Thurs 7-9pm, Fri 7-9pm, Sat 4:30-9pm, & Sun 4:30-9pm, Week 2: Wed 7-9pm, Thurs 7-9pm, Fri 7-9pm, & Sun 7-9pm
• Part-Time, Assisted Living, 24 hours per 2 week pay period, NOC Hours: 10:00pm to 6:30am, working 1 week of the pay period on Fri, Sat, & Sun
• Full-Time, Memory Care, 64 hours per 2 week pay period, AM Hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm, Week 1: Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Week 2: Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun

What does a Caregiver do?

• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence while assisting them with personal care and daily living activities.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per individualized care plan.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, weight, pulse and respiration as instructed. Report changes or concerns to the RN.
• Document services performed on computerized charting system.
• Observe resident and report any changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, reaction, and appetite, to the supervisor.
• Assist the resident with personal care which may include the following: shampooing of hair, assist with showering/ bathing, fingernail and foot care, and medication administration.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

What does a Caregiver require?

• Current Minnesota Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate preferred but not required.
• Home Health Aide (HHA) experience required.
• Intends to work long-term and not just for the summer.
• Must be punctual, with a good attendance record.
