$16 - $18 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Interact with the sales lead to maintain and improve service and product knowledge
  • Answer incoming calls on product and service questions, customer complaints, and general customer inquiries
  • Keep customer satisfaction levels high by providing accurate information, resolving issues, and mitigating complaints
  • Find patterns in customer complaints and bring them to the team for improvement
  • Provide thorough follow-ups to customer interactions, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Become proficient with the total Farm Bureau program and benefits in order to answer questions and/or refer members to the appropriate contacts
  • Develop an understanding of Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance
  • Attend training classes as needed for professional development and to perform assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency. (Travel may be required)
  • Develop skills with word processing software and spreadsheet software to perform tasks to assist in the day-to-day operation of the office
  • Handle basic administrative duties such as filing, incoming mail, etc.
  • Become familiar with all aspects of payment procedures, guidelines and systems
  • Develop a proficient knowledge base of the mainframe, PC, and Internet systems used in order to provide customer service and assistance to members/insureds
  • Process pending and 2nd requests for all lines of business according to established procedures
  • Be proficient in taking information for change requests for all lines as assigned within the county when no interpretation of coverage issues is required
  • Provide assistance to agents, associate agents, field reps, members, county president, board of directors, and county support staff as needed or assigned, within the current level of training
  • Provide phone coverage, answer questions, and give information to callers, within the current level of training. Route calls to appropriate individual when necessary
  • Attend organizational meetings, as deemed necessary
Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a customer-oriented atmosphere
  • Must possess exemplary interpersonal skills, communication skills, and active listening skills
  • Must display strong communication skills, active listening skills, and personable skills
  • Must have great organizational skills and be about to multitask
  • Experience with the use of PC, word processing, and spreadsheet software is preferred
  • Professional attitude and dress is required
  • High school graduate or equivalent required. Prefer a four-year college degree or comparable work experience
