MAINTENANCE LEAD

The Secret Garden is seeking hard-working, team-oriented individuals with a love of the outdoors and an interest in plants and their surrounding landscapes. We perform residential landscape construction, maintenance, and tree work in the northern Milwaukee area. Our staff enjoys a safe, fun-loving atmosphere and the opportunity to learn hands-on from professionals in the field.

Responsibilities and Skills Include:

  • Assists foreman in all areas of technical plant care.

  • Care of residential landscapes, including watering, weeding, pruning, deadheading, and planting. No lawn mowing.

  • Installation of seasonal bed plants and ornamental containers

  • Spring and fall clean ups

  • Winter work with snow plowing.

  • Proficient in using skid loaders and basic attachments (bucket, forks, rockhound, U bucket).

  • Proficient in maintenance hand tools: pruners, rakes, shovels, trowels.

  • Ability to use basic gas-powered maintenance equipment: shears, chain saw, leaf blower.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Hard working team oriented

  • Excellent communication skills

Require:

  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record - must be able to be covered under company insurance (pre-hire screening done)

  • Minimum 2-year landscape maintenance experience

  • Bi-Lingual -Spanish, valuable, but not required.
