Job Description:F5 Web Application Firewall (WAF) solution on AWS: the goal of this workstream is to design, implement, and deploy an F5 Web Application Firewall (WAF) solution on AWS, integrated with HSM on RNTZ for secure key management and cryptographic operations. AWS will, with customer's input and participation, perform the following activities for each in-scope Customer shared services application in non-production environment:

i. Conduct design and discovery workshops with customer application teams to define the design requirements.

ii. Based on the design and discovery workshops, perform the following:

a. Identify any additional AWS Services needed and gather requirements to build Amazon Web Services (AWS) Service Catalog products.

b. Develop the Amazon Web Services (AWS) architecture and review with customer teams for confirmation and alignment.

c. Develop client assembled service catalog product.

iii. Establish connectivity with HSM on RNTZ

a. Create PrivateLink endpoints to establish connectivity from AWS to HSM on RNTZ in us-east-1 using Direct Connect services.

b. Support customer to raise customer ticket to open RNTZ firewall ports

c. Validate the connectivity from shared AWS account.

iv. F5 BIG-IP Virtual Edition Deployment

a. Design and implement a highly available architecture for F5 BIG-IP Virtual Edition instances using Auto Scaling groups across multiple Availability Zones.

b. Configure the BIG-IP instances to integrate with the HSM on RNTZ cluster for key management and cryptographic operations.

v. F5 WAF Policy Implementation

a. Support implementation of WAF policies on the F5 BIG-IP instances by providing integration with AWS services and configuration of AWS services.

b. Integrate the F5 WAF with other AWS services as needed.

vi. Logging, Monitoring, and Alerting

a. Configure logging and monitoring for the F5 BIG-IP instances to track security events, analyze traffic patterns, and troubleshoot issues.

b. Integrate with existing customer cloud tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace for logging and monitoring

c. Set up alerting and notification mechanisms for security incidents and system health monitoring.

vii. Disaster Recovery and Backup Strategies

a. Implement disaster recovery strategies, such as backup mechanisms for the F5 BIG-IP instances and HSM on RNTZ cluster.

b. Document disaster recovery procedures and test the recovery process.

viii. Security Policy Review and Updates

a. Establish a process for regularly reviewing and updating WAF policies and rules to address new threats and vulnerabilities.

b. Implement a change management process for policy updates and deployments.

ix. Documentation and Knowledge Transfer

a. Document the entire solution architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

b. Conduct hand-off and knowledge transfer sessions to customer Enterprise Cloud Business Operations (ECBO).
