Our healthcare organization is seeking a dedicated and organized Clinical Service Coordinator to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient delivery of clinical services and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care Coordination:
    • Coordinate patient flow throughout the clinic, ensuring adherence to protocols and timely appointments.
    • Assist with patient intake and collect demographic and insurance information.
    • Schedule appointments, manage the waitlist, and communicate effectively with patients regarding scheduling changes.
    • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by collecting vital signs and medical history (as permitted by your role and state regulations).
    • Coordinate communication between patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
    • Process patient referrals, pre-authorization requests, and insurance claims (as applicable).
  • Clinical Support:
    • Maintain and update patient medical records electronically or in paper form, ensuring confidentiality.
    • Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks and documentation.
    • Prepare clinical documents and reports as directed by the Clinical Lead or Physician.
    • Manage and maintain clinical supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Quality Improvement:
    • Assist with quality assurance initiatives and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
    • Analyze clinical data to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical setting or healthcare administration.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems (a plus).
  • Familiarity with relevant clinical procedures and best practices (a plus).
