### **Job Summary**
Luxus Build, located in Duluth, GA, is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and implement innovative design solutions for a diverse portfolio of projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical system design for commercial and government facilities and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical design, from concept through construction.
### **Key Responsibilities**
- **Electrical Design & Engineering:**
- Lead the design of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, receptacles, electrical riser diagrams, panel board schedules, and low voltage systems.
- Develop and refine electrical plans, specifications, and construction details tailored to client needs and project requirements.
- Utilize industry-standard software (e.g., Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit) to create detailed documentation, including diagrams, flowcharts, and calculations.
- **Project Management:**
- Manage projects from initial concept through final construction documents, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders, to address design challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Oversee multi-discipline design and engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- **Compliance & Standards:**
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant government regulations, industry standards, company policies, and client specifications.
- Maintain, establish, and promote technical standards across projects.
- **Construction Administration:**
- Oversee construction administration activities, including the review of submittals and shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits.
- Produce and review field reports to ensure the construction aligns with design intent and specifications.
- Provide on-site construction oversight and technical support as needed.
- **Safety & Compliance:**
- May be required to work on client sites, adhering to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE to protect against exposure to hazardous conditions such as toxic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and high noise levels.
- **Additional Duties:**
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support project and company goals.
### **Qualifications**
- **Education:**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- **Experience:**
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electrical design for commercial or government facilities, including work with owners, architects, and contractors.
- Proficiency in the design of lighting, power distribution, electrical riser diagrams, panel board schedules, and low voltage systems.
- Experience in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing), AE (Architect Engineer), and AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) is preferred.
- **Certifications:**
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred. Candidates should be able to obtain a PE license within 12 months of hire.
- **Skills & Abilities:**
- Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- In-depth knowledge of building regulatory and safety codes for electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret and resolve questions related to local and national codes.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%, including domestic and international travel.
### **Physical Demands**
- Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
- May involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
