Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $20.00 per hour

Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00PM - 11:30PM) Monday - Friday 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Under limited supervision, the Extruder Operator will be expected to tend to and operate extrusion machines in a work cell to produce required parts as determined by customer requirements and the production schedule. Clearly understands and has demonstrated strong capability with set-ups, start-ups, running and tearing down any profile tooling in a safe and productive manner. Troubleshoot extrusion issues within a work cell.

  • Analyze production data and make necessary adjustments to operation of machines within the team
  • Move materials in and out of the line as needed, including packaging materials, raw materials, and finished product
  • Complete necessary documentation; process checks, quality checks, production reporting, etc.
  • Create labels and wrap loads per standard work
  • Evaluate part conformance against documented product requirements
  • Adherence to LOTO procedures and other established safety guidelines
  • Identify and communicate appropriately when electrical/mechanical/technical support is needed
  • Participate and sustain 5S activities
  • Work in a safe manner and follow safety policies. Make sure co-workers are working safely and following safety policies
Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds regularly and stand for duration of entire shift.
  • Must cross-train and rotate on various workstations within line/complex
  • Clearly understands and demonstrates strong capabilities with machine set-ups and start-ups
  • Demonstrate and effectively run and tear down any extrusion profile tooling
  •  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions
  • Capable of using computerized equipment
  • 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferrered
