ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

This role will manage the warehousing operations in Arlington, TX. This includes people, product and support. Be knowledgeable of warehouse best practices and documenting work practices. Manage the inventory, shipping and receiving operations. Follow Gatekeeper Systems Core Values in accordance with company policies. Reporting as assigned. Manage smaller projects with minimal oversight.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Monitor warehouse operations for finished goods and component inventory levels.
  • Receive product and assure timely and accurate put away.
  • Coordinate shipping activities and assure shipping product is available, packaged correctly and accurately.
  • Assess product quality to ensure workstations are running properly and materials are being used appropriately.
  • Coordinate with production on items built in house to assure stocking levels are maintained for both production builds and needed service item shipments.
  • Assure BIN movement in the warehouse is documented and tracked in NAVISION.
  • Monitor warehouse space to make racking is available as needed and safe/good condition.
  • Make sure aisles stay clear and that 5S practices are followed.
  • Look for improvement projects to make work easier, faster and more accurate both internally and for customer receiving product.
  • Assure forklifts and other warehouse equipment is maintained with routine safety checks and maintenance checks.
  • Setup and troubleshooting labeling machines and scanners. Zebra Printers.
  • Promote safety and ensure a safe work environment and safe associate work habits.
  • Provide training and coaching to improve standard work, work center organization (5S), and housekeeping.
  • Generate and review reports and other correspondence regarding product issues.
  • Resolve team issues and collaborate with employees to assist in problem resolutions.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Take notice of process related problems and support associates in taking corrective action to improve the overall performance of the team.
  • Initiate and manage cost reduction activities.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Comfortable with using a computer including Excel, Outlook and MRP systems (Navision or SAP).
  • Experience with setup and troubleshooting ZEBRA Labeling machines
  • Exemplify excellence in professionalism in all aspects of day-to-day duties and responsibilities

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
