Step into the role of Staff Accountant to impact one of Florida’s premier non-profit organization's clinics. Join a leading healthcare facility where you’ll act as a primary communication link between the non-profit organization staff and hospital staff fulfilling the life-saving dreams of waiting for transplant recipients through the generosity of organ and tissue donors.Your New Role as a Staff Accountant:
  • Responsible for key components within the month-end close process to include collecting, researching, and organizing all necessary data to prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and yearly journal entries, accruals, and allocations.
  • Records all cash journal entries for the month-end closing process and reconciles daily cash transactions entered cash manager to the bank download and the G/L. Performs daily check clearing for the Foundation bank accounts and is responsible for Posi Pay and manual check issues for all Foundation accounts and Legacy Fund Accounts.
  • Prepares Quarterly and Year End system-generated financial statements, Assist during year-end audit preparation of key F&A schedules.
  • Performs monthly account reconciliations; ensures variances are identified and resolved timely
  • Assists in the annual budget process in the areas of Occupancy, Depreciation, Interest, Communications allocation, IS allocation, Capital Budget, and other areas as assigned
Your Experience as a Staff Accountant:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with 2 years accounting experience
  • MS Office suite proficient, Advanced MS Excel (formulas), spreadsheets, database, and other accounting-related software packages
  • Preferred Healthcare background but not required
  • Fixed asset accounting a plus
  • Report building, Analytical background
  • Acumatica Software preferred but not required
