What you will be doing:

In this role you will provide subject matter expertise to USAFSAM Department of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM/FE), Aerospace Medicine Studies and Analysis Division (FES), Operational Support Team (FESO). FESO was established to provide support to Base Operational Support Teams in the field, oversee program development, data analysis, education, training, and field consultative support. The FESO branch is responsible for supporting embedded medical providers with evidence-based practices and real-time data analytics dashboard of musculoskeletal and mental health risk down to the squadron level. In addition, the FESO branch directs aspects of an embedded Integrated Operational Support (IOS) training course held at USAFSAM. As part of this team you may regularly conduct data audits, research and evaluation of programming effectiveness, and perform tracking of programmatic measures of success. This requirement is for analyst research support that is to be located within the FESO branch of the FES Division, to assist with overall studies and analysis requirements.

You Have:

  • PhD in one of the following fields - Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, or Operations Research with a minimum of three (3)years' experience in their field of expertise
  • Masters in one of the following fields - Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, or Operations Research with a minimum of (5) years' experience in their field of expertise
  • Current in Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training
  • Demonstrate advanced analytical skills in statistics and study design and execution
  • Demonstrate expertise in descriptive statistics, as well as Statistical Analysis System/Enterprise Guide (SAS/SAS EG)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with statistics in a healthcare or military environment
  • Signed NDA in place based on the potential access to confidential, proprietary, and/or sensitive information
  • US Citizenship is required for this effort

Nice if you Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in analysis in the medical field or the military is highly desired

Must be able to provide proof of US Citizenship

Must be able to pass a background screening
