ABOUT CMFCAA 

The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is a not-for-profit agency that educates, supports, & advocates for foster, adoptive, & kinship children, youth, & families in central Missouri by offering services & partnering with community & governmental agencies to develop healthy & self-sufficient individuals & families. 

Founded in 2007 by a former foster youth, foster parents, and adoptive parents, the CMFCAA is a community service organization that provides for the needs of foster, adoptive, kinship, and guardianship youth and families. What began as a small support group has grown into a multifaceted organization that provides direct support, education, services and advocacy to foster and adoptive families in a 13-county central Missouri region. 

Currently, we are assisting over 640 foster families, over 1400 foster children, over 400 adopted children in our service area. Our goal is to be a support to the families, children and youth in this area, and we work tirelessly to provide much needed services to them. 

  

POSITION SUMMARY 

 The Direct Services Supervisor will oversee the coordination and administration of all aspects of our ongoing direct service programs, including planning, organizing and supervising all program activities. The Direct Services Supervisor is a member of the organization’s leadership team and will participate in program planning, marketing, community and county outreach, volunteer management, public speaking and strategic investment. The position also includes reporting and development of resources specific to the needs of foster, adoptive, and kinship families. The Direct Services Supervisor will assist with the management of the Trunk, trunk associates, and its volunteer staff.  The Direct Services Supervisor will also be part of the Council on Accreditation team.   

  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  •        Oversee the planning, organizing of all service programs within the 24-county coverage area 
  •        Strengthen partnerships and establishes boundaries within partnership structure 
  •        Collaborates with the Direct Service Program Manger to complete month-end billing for Direct Services program services rendered. Provide collection efforts as needed  
  •        Provide timely required information for grant billing
  •        Assist with the expectations of the Trunk, trunk associates, and its volunteer staff
  •        Collaborates with the Direct Service Program Manager in the oversight of budget performance for program services to assure fiscally sound operations that meet budget expectations 
  •        Must work with the leadership team to plan and supervise all programs in accordance to the mission, goals, and strategic plan of CMFCAA  
  •        Utilize organization’s current database for program evaluation and to assess the strength of programs and services  
  •        Must maintain clear records that document program activities and client usage of program activities for statistical, reporting, and grant securing purposes within the organization’s current database, SharePoint, and other means
  •        Must maintain communications between participants of program activities  
  •        Must meet weekly or bi-weekly with resource coordinators and trunk associates,    alternating in-person and virtually 
  •        Other duties as assigned

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE 

  •        Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, or closely related field 
  •        3-5 years of managerial experience 
  •        Strong customer service  
  •        Strong ability to analyze data and reporting capabilities 
  •        Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing 
  •        Ability to determine informational needs, to collect and analyze information 
  •        Database management skills  
  •        Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities 
  •        Ability to make some administrative/procedural decisions and judgments 
  •        Ability to conduct literature and online database searches 
  •        Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications 
  •        Must be able to pass a Federal and civil background  
  •
