Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Demonstrate proficiency in critical decision-making, technical analysis, and project leadership.
- Perform various engineering tasks including stress and strain analysis, heat transfer assessment, kinematics evaluation, and system design.
- Utilize software tools (CAD, FEA) to design and analyze mechanical components.
- Stay updated with cutting-edge technologies and fabrication techniques.
- Identify root causes of technical issues and propose effective solutions.
- Design and conduct verification and validation tests to ensure product meets quality and performance requirements.
- Complete comprehensive documentation associated with project deliverables.
- Integrate academic and experiential knowledge to develop innovative solutions.
- Communicate effectively across a multi-site, global organization.
- Work closely with and provide support to Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, and Marketing teams as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5-10 years of engineering experience in Research and Development, or a Master’s Degree plus five years of related experience.
- Proficiency in the FDA Quality System Regulation and experience in a regulated industry preferred.
- Familiarity with medical electronics design, cardiovascular physiology, pathophysiology, and biologic interfaces advantageous.
- Exceptional team leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Positive outlook, innovative thinking, and self-sufficiency in problem-solving.
- Knowledge and experience in computer-aided design and simulation, SolidWorks preferred.
