The ideal candidate will lead and support projects from initial concept through verification and validation testing, culminating in manufacturing. This individual will leverage a diverse range of technical skills to design and analyze mechanical systems, oversee testing procedures, enhance product features, and meticulously document findings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in critical decision-making, technical analysis, and project leadership.
  • Perform various engineering tasks including stress and strain analysis, heat transfer assessment, kinematics evaluation, and system design.
  • Utilize software tools (CAD, FEA) to design and analyze mechanical components.
  • Stay updated with cutting-edge technologies and fabrication techniques.
  • Identify root causes of technical issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Design and conduct verification and validation tests to ensure product meets quality and performance requirements.
  • Complete comprehensive documentation associated with project deliverables.
  • Integrate academic and experiential knowledge to develop innovative solutions.
  • Communicate effectively across a multi-site, global organization.
  • Work closely with and provide support to Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, and Marketing teams as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of engineering experience in Research and Development, or a Master’s Degree plus five years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in the FDA Quality System Regulation and experience in a regulated industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical electronics design, cardiovascular physiology, pathophysiology, and biologic interfaces advantageous.
  • Exceptional team leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Positive outlook, innovative thinking, and self-sufficiency in problem-solving.
  • Knowledge and experience in computer-aided design and simulation, SolidWorks preferred.
