This role does require some client-site meetings at Fort Meade, Crystal City, and Quantico.

What YOU WOULD do as aN ISSE:

As an ISSE, you will execute RMF processes, utilizing eMASS to complete RMF process steps and develop essential artifacts such as the Security Plan, System Level Continuous Monitoring Plan, and Risk Assessment Report. Additionally, you will collaborate with development project teams to ensure the successful implementation of Security Controls. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and developing plans, processes, and procedures for the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency, leading to authorization and Approval to Operate (ATO).

You will also have the opportunity to integrate IA and security systems and components into networking, computing, and enclave environments, including those with different data protection/classification requirements. Furthermore, you will support the creation of security architectures and provide valuable DoDAF Documentation to facilitate RMF activities. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and mitigating system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle. You will also contribute to security planning, risk analysis, certification, and awareness activities for system and networking operations.

Knowledge of NSA/CSS Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP), DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), and the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) is highly desired. To be successful in the role of an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) at RBR Technologies, the following skills are necessary:

  • A current Top Secret Clearance is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required. A minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Systems Security is necessary.
  • Experience in successfully guiding systems through the RMF process to meet and exceed DoD standards for security and accreditation.
  • Proficiency in applying STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) and SRGs (Security Requirements Guides) to ensure adherence to best practices and compliance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • DI2E (Defense Intelligence Information Enterprise) experience, which demonstrates familiarity with intelligence systems and processes.
  • Experience with KM (Knowledge Management) platforms such as Confluence, SharePoint, and Wiki tools, showcasing a knack for organizing and sharing information effectively.
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification, exemplifying advanced knowledge and expertise in information security.
