Title: Electrician

Reports To: Tool Pipe and Wire Supervisor

Summary: The Electrician is responsible for layout and wiring of electrical components used on tooling for an individual project.


Responsibilities:

  1. Serves as a team member in the Electrical assembly process
  2. Ensure tasks are executed in the most effective manner in regards to time, cost and function
  3. Ensure assigned tooling is completed based on work requirements utilizing drawings, customer specifications and manuals as necessary
  4. Identify electrical problems, and recommend adjustments/repair work as necessary
  5. Provide accurate time reporting for assigned activities through the ERP system
  6. Adhere to company policies and procedures
  7. Ensure compliance with safety procedures
  8. All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  1. 2 years’ electrical experience in a machine tool shop
  2. High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  3. Able to interpret engineering drawings and successfully layout equipment according to prints
  4. Team player, able to take direction and be self-directed
  5. High regard for safety standards
  6. Knowledge of welding and automated assembly
  7. Knowledge of Electrical Standards, tooling assembly & setup
  8. Strong written and oral communication skills

Work Environment: This position operates in a shop environment.

Expected Hours of Work: This position regularly requires daily overtime hours and frequent weekend work.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. Frequently required to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs

Travel: This position requires less than 5% out of town and overnight travel.
