Indotronix International Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician - Medium Voltage Specialist to join our team in Pontiac, IL. This is a 6-month temporary to hire role with a competitive hourly rate.
Job Responsibilities:- Maintain, improve, and participate in developing control systems, installing electrical sub-panels/services, buss plugs, and integrating systems with production equipment.
- Work with controls and instrumentation, including thermocouples and transducers, as well as primary voltages up to and including 480v.
- Provide instruction, mentor, and train less skilled technicians as needed.
- Effectively communicate with site management and customers to understand requirements, solve complex electrical problems, and provide solutions to manufacturing issues.
- Demonstrate ability to identify and correct safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.
- Maintain current and future plant electrical systems and assist in designing electrical systems.
- Support plant electrical expansion projects.
- Adhere to Federal, State, and Local electrical code and be familiar with NFPA70e.
- Work alongside electrical service companies, engineers, and plant leadership to ensure local grid is functioning at peak capacity.
- Run conduit from 1⁄2 EMT to 2 IMC around obstacles across the entire plant.
- Assist IT in terminating cat 5 and cat 6 cabling, tracing, and troubleshooting minor network issues.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair process/production machines, equipment, and related electrical equipment, including electrical control circuits from 24v up to and including 480v AC, instrumentation devices, PLCs/ladder logic controllers, and variable frequency drives as necessary.
- Procure parts from crib systems, OEM, or authorized vendors.
- Perform preventive maintenance on process/production equipment as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Respond and provide service and feedback to customers on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Understand Amentum's company policies and enforce safety regulations. Safely perform functions of the position, including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.
- Maintain a strict schedule to be successful in the assignment yet demonstrate flexibility in the day-to-day activities and scheduling for the benefit of the customer.
- Perform General Maintenance of equipment as required.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills, such as motivation, delegation, ownership, leading by example, well-developed organizational skills, excellent communication skills, etc.
- High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
- 6 years' experience as an electrician in an industrial environment, maintenance shop, or manufacturing facility.
- Experience with repair on production equipment in an industrial environment or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
- Must have the ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
- This position may require a valid Driver's License.
- This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
- This position will require the ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location.
- Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
- Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.
- Demonstrated fluency in computer use, including the full Microsoft product line, as well as the ability to use a variety of office equipment to access databases, send/receive messages, and prepare documents.
- Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other Amentum, customer, and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.
- Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations.
- Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets, and other storage locations.
- Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
