Qualifications:

Required:

  • Doctorate degree (M.D. or D.O.)
  • Valid Medical Doctor (MD) license in North Carolina (NC) / South Carolina (SC)
  • Experience in Value-Based Care

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform complete history and physical exams, interpret data, and formulate appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
  • Prescribe appropriate treatments, both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic.
  • Collaborate with, educate, and supervise Advance Practice Providers to manage patients' acute and long-term medical needs.
  • Accurately and efficiently maintain and review patient records and charts.
  • Educate patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Exercise autonomy in medical decision-making, providing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in primary care for geriatrics and senior living communities.
  • Familiarity with medical policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Competence in developing and maintaining medical quality assurance and control standards.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)

Experience:

  • Experience with geriatrics in primary and post-acute care settings, including Senior Living, SNF, IPR, and LTACH (preferred but not required).
  • Experience or passion for value-based care.
  • Proficiency in EHR documentation and billing.
  • Positive attitude, passion for quality care, and a team-first approach.

License/Certification:

  • Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in North Carolina or South Carolina
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Current DPS and DEA certificates (or in progress)
