Receptionist

Duties:
• Answer the telephone
• Greet customers and direct them to the correct area/person
• Estimate wait times, encouraging customers to wait or return as appropriate.
• Listen attentively to customer complaints and refer them to the manger.
• Keep the reception area, desk, and counter clean when not accomodating customers.
• Must be able to communicate well with others without seeming abrasive. Absolutely no shortness or rudeness to anyone, including staff, will be tolerated.
Qualifications:
• Professional Appearance - Since customers form impressions about the professionalism of Sealy by evaluating employee appearance, a receptionist’s overall demeanor should represent Sealy and the professional industry.
• Outgoing/Animated/Confident Personality - Because the receptionist makes the first contact with each customer, it is vital that this person be warm and friendly. This position requires a person who truly enjoys working with people.
• Communication Skills - The ability to clearly explain Sealy services, departments, hours of operation and listen effectively to customers is critical to this position.
• Good Phone Manner - Whether or not a potential customer eventually comes in, often depends upon the receptionist’s ability to effectively communicate over the telephone. Good voice tone and the ability to articulate on the phone are vital characteristics of this position.
• Reliability - Receptionists must be prompt and consistent in their performance.
• Reliable Transportation (public or private).
