JOB SUMMARY: The "Business Development Representative" is responsible for driving the department’s growth, by identifying and closing new business sales. This role is perfect for a go-getter with a passion for seeking out and securing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who thrives in a competitive environment and excels at building relationships with potential new clients. Sales opportunities will be existing clients and new prospects. Quality prospecting leads will be provided.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make outbound calls to prospective clients.
  • Set sales appointments.
  • Prospect with existing customers.
  • Close sales, sign contracts, and onboard new clients.
  • Attends and presents annual and quarterly results.
  • Adapts to change and takes initiative in actions or sales.
  • Following through on commitments, and motivation to achieve goals and commitments.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience insurance P&C Sales.
  • At least 1-2 years of previous experience in sales prospecting and appointment setting.
  • Must be P&C Licensed
  • Must have a general understanding of P& C Insurance Markets preferably with admitted and non-admitted.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read
    technical information, and/or use a keyboard
