We are looking for interns to join our Intermodal Logistics team, those who are active students in the Green Bay and surrounding area. As a Logistics Intern, you will:

• Learn about transportation of goods from shipper to receiver by semi-trucks and trains.
• Identify each of the railroads that we use and the important of container management and per diem.
• Understand the importance of strong communication with customers to ensure good customer service and safety and on time delivery of their product.
• Help with service to our customers through status updates of all daily shipments.
• Help quote shipments for our customer base.
• Work to align shipments to carrier base for daily service to our customers.

• Use Excel to gather information on carrier rates to submit for operations manager review and analysis of rates.
• Analyze carrier per diem data and identify areas to reduce cost on the rail using our container tool.
• Compiling container data from multi systems to distribute to the team for analyzation, to reduce cost on the rails.
• Using critical thinking to identify container errors and problem solve on how to mitigate cost due to the container not moving on the rail.
• Be involved in periodic meetings with carriers, customer and cross functional teams to understand and have exposure to different areas in the organization.
