SUMMARY:

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the integrity of the accounting processes within our company. This position involves overseeing daily accounting operations, processing system transactions, preparing monthly journal entries, and assisting with special projects and budget preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.

This position operates on a hybrid schedule. You are expected to report to the office from Tuesday through Thursday, with additional in-office days on Monday and Friday as needed.


ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including Cash, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, etc.

• Ensure proper documentation of accounting procedures in company ERP.

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end closing, maintaining detailed records to support all journal entries and adjustments

• Participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

• Provide documentation for financial audit and assist auditors as needed.

• Support the annual budgeting process by providing financial data and analysis.

• Assist in preparing budget reports and forecasts.

• Participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliations

• Collaborate with warehouse and operations staff to ensure proper inventory management

• Reconcile companywide expense reports in Concur, conducting thorough audit of receipts, correcting inaccuracies, and ensuring monthly entries are recorded

• Calculate and prepare monthly commission reports for sales department.


REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

• 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred

• CPA preferred but not required

• Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics F&O a plus.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
