As the Director of Human Resources at Maverix Broadband, you will lead the HR department and be instrumental in shaping our organizational culture and workforce strategy. This role is vital for driving the company's performance, nurturing a supportive work environment, and ensuring legal compliance. The ideal candidate will be strategic, proactive, and deeply committed to enhancing employee engagement, talent management, and organizational development.

Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition: Lead the interviewing and hiring processes to attract, select, and onboard top talent, ensuring Maverix Broadband meets its strategic goals.
  • Tax Compliance Coordination: Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance Department to oversee tax compliance, ensuring all HR-related tax matters are handled efficiently and accurately.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee general payroll processing, including verifying employee hours, ensuring accurate pay for all employees, and managing payroll systems.
  • Timekeeping Oversight: Ensure all team members accurately clock in and out, maintaining compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, ensuring they meet employee needs and comply with legal requirements.
  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a liaison between management and employees to address questions, grievances, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Performance Management: Oversee a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and supports employee development.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and oversee development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Provide insightful HR metrics to the management team to support informed decision-making.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the HR department staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably as an HR Director.
  • Strong experience in interviewing, hiring, payroll management, tax compliance, and benefits administration.
  • Deep knowledge of HR systems, databases, and labor law.
  • Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
