EXPERIENCED Milling and CNC Lathe Operator. 5 years minimum with setup, programming, and running precision parts.
  • We have a brand-new Haas Lathe with a sub spindle and 2 Hitachi lathes.
  • Previous MasterCAM use is preferred or similar CAM package.
  • You will be working on making cores with our brand-new Haas ST25Y Lathe and other CNC lathes models. The ST25Y has a programmable C axis, live tooling, and a sub spindle for part hand off.
  • Five years of experience is a MUST doing your own setup, programming, and running of precision parts.
  • Candidates MUST have with experience in working to tight tolerances. Preferably from a mold making company and who has CNC programming skills.
Purpose of the job:Based on the instructions given (depending on the organization) by the line manager and/or the referent mold machining technician, the mold maker machining technician carries out serial or unit machining work on numerically controlled machines (CNC) and/or conventional machines (manual), from instructions and technical files.The operations are carried out on parts of any level of complexity but with a known or similar operating procedure, with possible major intervention on the program.Description of the significative activities:- Assembles and adjusts the tools to the required tolerances according to the defined range, and chooses a different tool if necessary- Prepares and adjusts its assembly according to the defined range, and adapts it if necessary - Assembles the part on numerical or conventional control machines- Calls up the machining program, modifies major parameters (cutting conditions, tool paths, etc.) of the latter if necessary.- Carries out the production of the first part to ensure that the cycle runs smoothly- Deburrs the first part- Carries out dimensional and geometric checks in order to validate its setting. In the event of a discrepancy, he makes changes to the tools and/or program. He may propose the use of other means of control to ensure the quality of his part.Production- If all the measurements are correct, production launch- Performs machining operations - Deburrs the part- Reports traceability information on the product if necessary (engraving, marking, labels, etc.)- Verifies the conformity of the part according to the control range and/or the manufacturing plan (if existing) and completes the latter. In the event of a deviation or drift, he adjusts his tools.
