Milbern Ray & Company is a family owned full service CPA firm. The firm has a wide array of clients in

Texas and the surrounding areas. Business specialties of the firm include routine and complex tax

matters as well as all levels of financial reporting. We are currently seeking an Office Manager to join

our dynamic team.


The Office Manager will be responsible for supporting the Business Manager, and the

duties include performing administrative and clerical functions to aid in the delivery of firm services

to our clients.


This position requires that an individual have strong multi‐tasking abilities and is capable of

working independently. Solid organizational and communication skills are a must.

The Business Manager will provide on the job training on daily operational tasks.


The responsibilities and requirements of the position are as follows:


Main Responsibilities:

• Assisting with monthly billing and related invoicing.

• Overseeing supplies and related orders.

• Providing back up to phones and greeting of clients.

• Assisting with various forms of client payments.

• Processing and delivery of tax returns and financial statements.

• Pick-ups and deliveries to the Post Office, FedEx and UPS, as needed.

• Ensuring the firms’ works stations are supplied and orderly.

• Correspondence with clients and assistance with various requests.

• Understanding the entire administrative process of the firm to the end-user client.

• Contact person for IT equipment and the firm’s Cloud platform.

• Contact person for all open positions within the firm, including posting and setting up

interviews.

• Work side by side with the Business Manager to make sure tax returns and quarterly

reports are filed electronically or mailed on a timely basis.


Requirements:

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• High School Diploma

• Must be teachable with a positive attitude and be a team player

• This position is suited to a self‐starter that is able to adapt quickly.

• Overtime hours required from January 1st to April 15th, with straight overtime paid for the

additional hours worked.

• Previous CPA firm experience or administrative work a plus

• Experience with QuickBooks a plus
