About the Maintenance Technician position:

This position is part of the Maintenance Department.  We are seeking a highly skilled, Maintenance Technician, who can work independently as well as with a team.  Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years’ maintenance experience in the Property Management industry.


Critical factors in consideration for this role include:

Live within 30 minutes of the property.

Access to reliable transportation and a valid PA driver’s license is a necessity.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Familiarity with common tools and proficiency in unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks. Including: plumbing, electrical, and light carpentry work.

Basic computer skills

Regular on-call service as part of a group rotation is a requirement of the position.

Strong trouble shooting skills.

Professional certifications for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, are not pre-requisites for the position but candidates who have earned such certifications will be viewed favorably. 


 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Prepares vacant rental units for occupancy.

Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the buildings and grounds.

Snow removal.

Responds to employee and resident requests in a courteous and timely manner.

Obtains and maintains personal tools required for Maintenance Technician position.        

Keeps work area clean and tools and equipment in good working order.

Performs duties according to Occupations Safety & Health Act (OSHA) standards and company safety policies at all times.

Seeks opportunities to increase skills and expand knowledge base.

Wears the required uniform and maintains a professional appearance at all times.

Must be available to work on an on-call basis.

Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
