Qualifications:

  • 4 year degree in Quality or related degree is preferred; plus 2 years previous manufacturing and Supervision experience
  • Food, beverage, or liquid consumer product manufacturing a plus.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO, Quality Systems, SQF, BRC, IFS or another Global Food Safety Initiative a plus
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills are required
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Functional Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven Leadership Skills

Responsibilities:

QA Supervisor will Supervisor a team of QA Techs and is responsible for directing micro testing, wet chemical analysis of water (both product and source), testing, overseeing the production QAF’s are being filled out and adhered to, writing and policing GMP policies, quarterly CFR testing for bottles and closures, and various other tasks as they arise. Role will also be responsible for creating and updating quality documents as well as the HACCP and Quality Plan, as well as take on their own special Quality-related projects. This position will hold the HACCP and SQF Managers training certifications.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Supervises QA Techs
  • Oversee daily and quarterly micro analysis
  • Oversees daily wet chemical analysis of product and source waters
  • Ensures daily RO checks
  • Must be able to work off shifts for training and Lab Tech
  • Manages daily Plant checks/walkthroughs checking QAF and cleanliness.
  • Manages monthly Glass Audit
  • Follow through on Defective Material Reports and upkeep of the program.
  • Basic JDE knowledge in ordering and adjustments in finished products according to the DMR process.
  • Oversees corrective actions are being implemented
  • Makes sure that Plant personnel are adhering to corporate GMP policies
  • Maintains chemical inventory
  • Collection of outside lab samples
  • Creation of various documents and spreadsheets (Specific to Production)
  • Review Procedures and Quality Forms
  • Obtain certification or accreditation for existing and new quality programs.
  • Be able to perform QA Manager’s duties in their absence.
  • Follows standard operating procedures including quality checks and procedures for operations. Also follow HACCP and SQF
    requirements for food quality and safety.

GMP & PPE Required:

While on the production floor in the plant, you will be required to follow and help to enforce all GMP regulations in the plant. Anyone entering the production floor must follow the GMP rules in their employee handbook, which includes the required hairnets, beard nets, and earplugs. It is also required that all personnel wear safety glasses. Follows standard operating procedures including quality checks and procedures for all operations. Also follows HACCP and SQF requirements for food quality and safety.

Non-Essential Job Duties

Will perform any and all other related work as required by the plant manager and needs of the business.

In the absence of this employee, the direct manager or appointee will cover responsibilities.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions; and a noise level requiring use of hearing protection.
