Position Purpose: The IT Desk Support staff is primarily responsible for hands on support for all IT hardware used by FTOC, including but not limited to: phones, computers, modem, printers, etc. IT Desk Support is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to computer users within the organization.

  • Meets productivity standards and performs duties as workload necessitates.
  • To train on all Learning Management Systems (LMS) by self-learning models from FTOC’s EMR.


Core Duties and responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

  1. Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and modems.
  2. Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems with desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, and other hardware and software.
  3. Providing support for various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  4. Assist in maintaining computer networks, including LAN and WAN connectivity.
  5. Assist and support in conducting system upgrades and performing routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, virus scans, and data backups.
  6. Assist in documenting technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and other information to aid in the support of computer systems.
  7. Assist in maintaining an inventory of hardware and software assets.
  8. Respond to assigned ticketing system requests submitted by staff
  9. Assist in providing support to end-users who are working from home or traveling.
  10. Assist in the training end-users on how to use computer systems and software applications.
  11. Maintaining accurate records of support activities, including user requests, resolutions, and follow-up communications.
  12. Collaborating with other IT staff to resolve technical issues and support ongoing projects.
  13. Collaborating with other IT staff to develop and implement technology policies and procedures that ensure the security and reliability of computer systems.
  14. Assist in monitoring and maintaining the security of computer systems, including firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems.
  15. Other duties assigned

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of IT support experience required.
  • 1 year of experience using an electronic health record system.

An equivalent combination of education and experience (subject to verification) sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position such as those listed above will be considered.


Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  1. 1 year of related IT experience (combination of higher education degree or certification and experience eligible).
  2. Some knowledge on the use, troubleshooting, and installing of all computer systems and software applications.
  3. Must excel in multitasking within a high-paced environment.
  4. Acute attention to detail, confident and professional communication to all including Senior C-Suite staff.
  5. Bilingual: Spanish, Vietnamese, etc.
  6. Exceptional Customer Service experience.
  7. Willing to submit to drug testing if requested.


Work Schedule:

  • General work hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., however, start times will vary, depending on organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs.
  • Work schedules are subject to change based on organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs. As such, FTOC may need to modify work schedules to meet such needs.
  • Saturday work schedules will also be effected or implemented due to organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs as FTOC continues to grow and expand work days and hours.
  • Overtime may also occur due to organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs.


Work Location:

  • While staff may be assigned a primary site (Tustin, Garden Grove, Fountain Valley, Wellness Center, Mobile Units, or Telehealth, etc.), you may be required to temporarily fill in at another site based on organizational, staffing, community, and patient needs.


Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel will be required for this position. Must be able to travel with reliable transportation to FTOC sites as needed, including short notice.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to drive to FTOC facilities as needed. The ability to sit for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
