Accountabilities of Overnight/Weekend Director

  • Develops clear and stretching expectations for self and others and demonstrates positive leadership and mentoring approaches.
  • Strong organizational and strategic planning skills, able to develop data-based decision making models and execute decisions based therein, effectively utilizing available resources.
  • Communicates shared values and understandings of the agency mission; builds rapport and collaborative partnerships to achieve outcomes.
  • Able to multitask, creative problem-solve, flexible, detail/project-oriented, passionate about being a change agent in supporting people to live their life to their fullest potential in an inclusive community.
  • Able to respond to emergency situations along with developing strategies that would mitigate emergencies. Guide managers through situations and makes family notifications in the absence of an AD.
  • Lead and manage Weekend and Overnight Supervisor teams. Directly support ADs in managing their team. Review and give feedback to Weekend and Overnight reports.
  • Establish meaningful connections with individuals, DSPs, and family supports.
  • Ensure health and safety. Complete Director Health and Safety Audits.
  • Serve as Director Oncall from Thursday 5p through Monday 8a.
  • Support the Residential Management team with its daily operations

The tools you need:

  • Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Special Education or a related field.
  • Knowledgeable of DPW 6400 regulations and ODP requirements
  • Two years supervisory experience working directly with adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license, own vehicle and insurance.
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people in various settings.
  • Patience and flexibility is a must.
  • Proficient in MS Office and/or other Windows based programs.


Sunday: 6pm-11pm (In-person)
Thursday: 10am-4pm (In-person)
Friday: 2pm-11pm (In-person)
Saturday: 10am-3pm (In-person)
On-call beginning Thursday from 5pm-Monday 8am
