Qualifications

  • A bachelors degree (minimum) in the field of civil engineering, construction management or a closely related field.
  • Professional engineer license preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience.
  • Project management and staff coordination skills necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Plan review experience.
  • Strong field/construction background essential.
  • Working knowledge of geotechnical engineering and/or hydraulic gate systems preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to complete projects both independently and leading a team that includes outside consultants.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering/construction expertise, technical oversight and overall management of water storage reservoirs and conveyance facilities related to supply.
  • Prepare and review design calculations, engineering reports, construction drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Manage client relationships.
  • Perform project management activities including planning and delegating work, managing project budgets, invoicing, communicating resource needs and reporting backlog.
  • Supervise construction related engineering services.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers.
  • Work both in office and at local project sites.
  • Manage projects, staff, budgets, schedules and clients.
  • Prepare reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and designs for project.
  • Review design plans and specifications.
