  • Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
  • Inspect buildings, electrical systems, grounds and equipment, identifying hazards, defects, and needed repairs.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC system, changing filters, bearings.
  • Identify and assist with carpentry and repair work.
  • Perform basic service and repair on plumbing fixtures; open clogged lines and drains.
  • Maintains inventory of tools, equipment parts, and supplies.
  • Install or replace plugs, switches and outlets.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively in a professional manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Strong dependability and professionalism.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of system maintenance.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Mechanical maintenance associate or bachelor’s degree or a related discipline or equivalent in work experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently lift 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to perform work in office, manufacturing, warehouse, and outside lumberyard settings.
  • Walking, standing, climbing, squatting, bending, lifting, and kneeling are all required physical aspects of the job.

General:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Hourly w/overtime – based on experience.
  • Weekly pay

Schedule:

  • Present during current Hixwood hours, generally 6:30am – 4:30pm w/ some Saturday mornings.
